Introduction and history
This kurung has the same cutting with Baju Kurung Teluk Belanga. Only at the neck is added a straight collar about three centimetres and the chest partition is layered for the seven or five buttons. This attire was before donned by the royalties and the aristocrats, hence only made from high quality fabric like brocade and velvet.
There is also this attire called ‘a finger neckline’ as the collar is smaller with five buttons only.
