The Cultural Mapping Portal is a database system related to cultural art and national heritage that includes the categories of performing arts, traditional games, customs, traditional food, art infrastructure, traditional clothing, information on figures, art activists and a directory of cultural arts NGOs. This portal was created as an information gateway with interactive access, in line with current needs for the purpose of reference, promotion and dissemination of cultural and heritage information. In 2017, this Program was appointed as one of PSD's Public Service Transformation Initiatives.
The Cultural Mapping Program is a program under the National Department of Culture and Arts (JKKN) to record, document, sketch the cultural landscape, particularly in the fields of performing arts, traditional food, traditional games, customs, local artistic and cultural figures and art infrastructure. presentation. During the Public Service Transformation Initiative workshop organized by the Public Service Department (JPA), the National Department of Culture and Arts (JKKN) proposed the branding of the Cultural Tourism Mapping program to the Cultural Tourism Mapping Program. The Malaysian Ministry of Tourism and Culture (KPK) decided to maintain the Cultural Mapping program as one of the KPK Public Service Transformation Initiatives that will increase collaboration between agencies and sectors under the KPK with other relevant ministries.
The Cultural Mapping Portal is used as a database system related to art, culture, heritage and national tourism. It is one of the department's initiatives to record and document the country's art, culture and heritage metadata. The Cultural Mapping Portal is one of the platforms in an effort to spread widely, promote and popularize National Culture as a high-impact art and culture, as well as provide ease of access to information online.
