Introduction and history
This Princess of Perak Attire has been upheld as one of the State of Perak’s traditional costumes due to its beauty. This costume, originated from Aceh, Indonesia, is also called Aceh’s Custom Attire.
Among its complements are a songket or woven fabrics trousers, short blouse, samping (knee-length sarong) and a long songket fabric shawl. The accessories are a belt, pending dukuh (belt head) and head adornment.
