Introduction and history
This costume is highlighted with head adornment called ‘horn tengkolok (folded cloth)’. This is the Minangkabau tribe’s costume of custom well-known in Negeri Sembilan.
The Minang Custom Attire is a Modern Baju Kurung attire made from velvet fabric adorned with golden thread embroidery, beads and lace on the neckline and sleeve. It is matched with songket fabric sarong in ‘horizontal stripe’ pattern folded in ‘wavy’ style.
