Introduction and history

This attire is akin to a coat cutting with high collar, long sleeve, the hem down to the hip level and attached with one or two pockets. This middle- parted attire is attached with full buttons at the frontal and three or four decorative buttons at the sleeve ends.

Traditional Attire/ Accessories

There are those who wear it in style with blazer suit cutting worn neatly with white shirt. This coat is matched with pantaloon trousers normally in black or dark colours.

The uniqueness of this attire is that it still retains the samping and laced leather black shoes. The samping is either sarong in ‘Muar pattern’ or songket fabric.
