Introduction and history
Kuih Bugis Mandi, also known as Kuih Badak Berendam or Kuih Puteri Mandi in some other states, is one of the traditional kuihs of the Bugis ethnic group in Selangor. This kuih is quite easy to prepare at home, consisting of three main components: cake balls, coconut filling, and sauce.

Ingredients to make the kuih:
· 360g of glutinous rice flour
· 320ml liquid coconut milk
· 1 tablespoon sweet potato flour
· 1 teaspoon of refined sugar
· A little green dye or other colors according to your own choice
Ingredients for making coconut filling:
· 50 ml of water
· 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar
· A piece of Melaka/red sugar
· 2 pandan leaves
· 1 tablespoon wheat flour
· Only the white part of the head is scraped
Ingredients for the gravy:
· 700 ml thick coconut milk (1 coconut)
· 2 tablespoons of glutinous rice flour
· 1 pandan leaf, knotted
· Adequate salt
Cooking Method:
· Mix all the cake ingredients into a dough. Add a little water if needed. Divide and add a little coloring and knead until the colours are combined.
· Shape the dough into a round shape and fill it with grated coconut filling sweetened with brown sugar.
· Heat the water until it boils and add the dough that has been kneaded and filled until it rises.
· Lift and put in a container and pour the coconut milk sauce over the cake. Ready for a meal.
