Introduction and history
In yesteryears, this costume was adorned by members of the royalties and the aristocrats. Hence, many of the costume was made of Pahang woven cloth or songket fabric.
This costume has the same cutting as Baju Kurung Teluk Belanga. Only at the neckline is added a straight collar two centimetres high (hence the name ‘leher sejari’ or ‘a finger neckline’). The frontal partition is layered for placement of five buttons.
