Laksa Sarang is famous in Bandar Botani, Ipoh, Perak. The dish is not much difference from the same dish of other states in Malaysia, but its uniqueness lies in the 'nest' made from fried egg placed on the laksa noodle.
The ingredients for making the 'nest' are egg, corn flour and salt. The main ingredients for the gravy are fish flesh, garcinia cambogia, big onion, small onion, prawn paste, ground chilies, the kesum leaf, ginger flower, anchovy cube stock and salt as well as sugar to taste. Musk lime, chilies, salad leaf and slices of cucumber are added in later to improve the taste.
