'LOMPAT TIKAM' TRADITIONAL CAKE

Lompat Tikam traditional cake is very popular in Malaysia. This cake is believed to have originated from the Majapahit Kingdom and was brought into Malaysia to be presented to the Kelantan around 1700 years. Lompat Tikam cake got its name based on the story where one of the maids who was carrying a tray of cakes, tripped over the palace bend and caused the Sultan shocked and jumped and accidentally stabbed the maid.

Ingredients 1

-200g of rice flour

-1 liter of coconut milk

-200g pandan water

-A pinch of salt

 

Ingredients 2

-1 liter of condensed coconut milk

-A pinch of salt

 

Ingredients 3

-300g glutinous rice

-A little red food coloring liquid

-A pinch of salt

-300g of Melaka sugar

 

 HOW TO DO IT

1. The ingredients (1) are mixed into a mixture over a slow fire on the stove until thickened. Then, put it in a container.

2.  The ingredients (2) are heated to boiling. Set aside.

3.  Ingredients (3) are mixed together and let the glutinous rice cook. Gula Melaka should be cooked with water. Let it thicken a little and then serve.
