POLE SCRAMBLE

POLE SCRAMBLE

The origin of this traditional game is unknown, yet it can be found anywhere. What is sure is that this game exists due to the numerous poles that act as walkways in many schools or village houses. This game does not have specific rules but rather played on mutual agreement between the players.

Uniquely, this game can only be played with odd number of players but with an even number of poles. At the beginning of the playing session a player has to be determined as the 'pole claimer'. After the player is determined then the rest hold on to their poles. As soon as the game starts players that hold on to their poles have to look for their own partners and swap poles quickly. The 'pole claimer' has to be efficient in looking for an empty pole left by the owner when he exchanges pole with his partner. The player that loses his pole now becomes the next 'pole claimer'.
