STEAMED TAPIOCA

Sunting Putu is a traditional food of the
Bajau ethnic in the districts of Semporna and Lahad Datu, Sabah. This traditional
food is based on grated tapioca and squeezed of its liquid before steamed.
Sunting Putu is eaten with Sagol (the flesh of big fish), the cockle species of
Kima and Tehe-tehe, and Tayum, the sea porcupine, as well as other traditional
foods of the Bajaus.
