Laksa Sarawak is well known in Sarawak. The uniqueness lies in the special laksa spice that is not found in any laksa dish in other states. Apart from the spice the basic ingredients are vermicelli, cooked chicken meat, fried bean curd, omelet, bean sprout, black mushroom, prawn, hard-boiled egg and musk lime. The gravy is made of a mixture of prawn paste, coconut milk, tamarind juice, garlic, galangal and lemon grass.
Boil two litres water with laksa spice and crushed lemon grass. Add in the prawn, coconut milk, salt and sugar, and blend well. Prepare a bowl, put in the vermicelli and the laksa ingredients on top. Pour in the gravy together with the prawn paste and musk lime juice.
