MAMAN PICKLE

The
maman plant, or its scientific name Cleome Gynandra, is a low plant that
thrives in sandy areas and spacious land. Normally the shoot or young leaves
are made into pickles as appetizer. The pickle juice can be made as dipper for
grilled fish and other foods. The basic ingredients for this traditional pickle
are the shoot or young leaves of the maman plant, white rice, salt and an
adequate amount of water.
